How many sessions do I need?
For optimal results, we generally recommend two sessions of treatment spaced six weeks apart, particularly for the under-eye area. Afterward, maintenance sessions every six months are typically advised to keep up the desired outcome. Following this recommended treatment schedule provides long-lasting and effective results, especially for under-eye concerns.
What areas are treated?
While the under-eye area is a popular choice, other areas that can benefit from our treatments include the lips (if experiencing loose lip tissue), nasolabial folds, and for a complete facial rejuvenation, EZ Gel can be combined with fillers. This versatile approach allows us to address various areas and achieve optimal results.
What's the down time?
When undergoing under-eye treatment, it's important to be aware of potential side effects such as swelling, bruising, and redness. Swelling is a common occurrence and typically subsides within 1-2 weeks, though the duration can vary from person to person. It's essential to keep these possibilities in mind and allow ample time for the body to heal and recover after the procedure.
What should I do before the procedure?
To ensure optimal results, it's important to follow these pre-treatment guidelines. Refrain from taking blood thinners such as ibuprofen or aspirin for at least two weeks before your appointment. Stay well-hydrated, particularly on the night before and the day of the treatment. Prioritize a healthy diet, rich in vegetables and minimize meat consumption the day before. Additionally, it's advisable to abstain from alcohol for at least two days leading up to the procedure. These practices promote better platelet levels, which play a significant role in determining your clinical outcome.

How can you tell how many Botox units I need?
In clinical studies, Botox for upper face takes an average of 64 units. We determine your unique dosing based on your muscle strength and goals. The total amount used varies from person to person based those factors. Dose = longevity, so the lighter the dose the less duration.
How long does Botox last?
In clinical studies, Botox is shown to last on average 3 to 4 months (based on 64 units for the upper face). The exact duration can be different for everyone, based on how active of a lifestyle you live and how your body metabolizes the product. Also, some patients metabolize one brand better than another. Because of that, Mint & Needle carries Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin.

As we age, we lose volume in our face. Fillers—such as Juvéderm, Restylane, and Radiesse—are used to replenish that volume in areas where it may be needed. What if I hate my filler?
Being nervous about not liking the filler is a very normal concern. Rest assured knowing that there are reversal agents for some fillers like Juvéderm, Voluma, and Restylane.
How often should I get facial filler?
We'll determine how often you need to come in based on the area of the face we’re working on. However, in most cases, we like to plan for yearly filler maintenance.
How do you know how many syringes of filler I need?
During your initial consult, we will discuss your goals. Based on your goals and the areas we’re treating, we will determine how many syringes of filler are needed. We are a results-focused practice, which is why we provide full facial balance treatments and packages. (We'll discuss this during your treatment consult.) We do also provide per-syringe treatments. The average person needs 1 to 2 syringes per area.
How long does filler last?
Filler can last anywhere from 10 to 18 months, as it depends on how fast your body metabolizes the product. Which filler is used (for example, Juvéderm, Radiesse, Voluma, or Restylane) all have different longevity.
