What areas can be treated with Botox?
Botox can be used on off-label areas such as the traps for slimming and muscle tension, masseters for jawline slimming and TMJ discomfort, in the underarms for excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis), and in the calf for slimming.
How can you tell how many Botox units I need?
In clinical studies, Botox for upper face takes an average of 64 units. We determine your unique dosing based on your muscle strength and goals. The total amount used varies from person to person based those factors. Dose = longevity, so the lighter the dose the less duration.
How long does Botox last?
In clinical studies, Botox is shown to last on average 3 to 4 months (based on 64 units for the upper face). The exact duration can be different for everyone, based on how active of a lifestyle you live and how your body metabolizes the product. Also, some patients metabolize one brand better than another. Because of that, Mint & Needle carries Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin.
