PRF can be added to any micro-needling or injectable treatment. The platelets from your own blood are rich in growth factors. When we re-inject or topically apply platelets to your skin, these growth factors signal for cell growth and collagen synthesis necessary for healing. How many sessions do I need?
For optimal results, we generally recommend two sessions of treatment spaced six weeks apart, particularly for the under-eye area. Afterward, maintenance sessions every six months are typically advised to keep up the desired outcome. Following this recommended treatment schedule provides long-lasting and effective results, especially for under-eye concerns.
What areas are treated?
While the under-eye area is a popular choice, other areas that can benefit from our treatments include the lips (if experiencing loose lip tissue), nasolabial folds, and for a complete facial rejuvenation, EZ Gel can be combined with fillers. This versatile approach allows us to address various areas and achieve optimal results.
What's the down time?
When undergoing under-eye treatment, it's important to be aware of potential side effects such as swelling, bruising, and redness. Swelling is a common occurrence and typically subsides within 1-2 weeks, though the duration can vary from person to person. What is Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)?
Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is an effective treatment using hormones that are identical to the hormones naturally made by your body. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is transforming the lives of men and women as they enter the later stages of life. It provides an alternative to hormones that are synthetic, such as injectable testosterone, or hormones concentrated from horse urine (Premarin). Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy is made by compounding pharmacists in customized dosages based on the individual needs of the patient as opposed to the narrow choices available with mass-produced, or “one size fits all” hormone therapies.
A more natural approach to hormone therapy, often referred to as “natural hormone therapy” has focused attention on bioidentical hormones that are identical in molecular structure to the hormones that the male and female body naturally produces for itself. Although not found in this form in nature, they are derived and made from plant compounds extracted from yams and soy. Pellets dissolve inside the body on their own and are re-implanted as needed depending on how rapidly the patient metabolizes the hormones. Pellets avoid the fluctuations of hormone levels seen with other delivery methods, providing more consistent hormone levels over a longer period.
