All About the Non-Surgical Butt Lift in Delaware

Thanks to celebrities such as the Kardashians, Cardi B, and Nikki Minaj, a plump, full-figure hourglass shape is on the rise. This obsession with sexy curves has increased the popularity of buttock augmentation procedures and attention to our backsides.

While traditionally, buttock augmentation could only be achieved through surgery via a procedure known as a Brazilian Butt Lift® (or BBL for short) there are many non-surgical buttock augmentation options available.

Commonly known as a non-surgical butt lift, one treatment option uses medical-grade biostimulator injections also known as fillers, such as Radiesse and Sculptra. Biostimulator injections are a non-surgical option for those who are dissatisfied with the aesthetic appearance of their behind.

Here are a few ways non-surgical buttock augmentation can be used at Mint & Needle:

  • Treating Cellulite Mint & Needle uses medical-grade biostimulator injections to reduce the appearance of cellulite dimpling on the posterior area.
  • Correct Hip Dip Hip dips are naturally occurring inward curves of the hip area that are caused by the shape of the pelvis. The Mint & Needle team uses medical-grade biostimulator injections to fill in the area of the dip caused by the bone structure.
  • Increase Volume Similarly, Mint & Needle can even leverage medical-grade biostimulator injections to increase the volume of the buttock area.

To help understand the procedure, let’s addresses commonly asked questions regarding buttock augmentations:

Am I a candidate?

Mint & Needle receives this question often, and the team wants to remind patients that everybody is different. In order to schedule a Buttock Augmentation, you will need to first have a consultation to discuss goals, examine your body shape, and evaluate if you’re a candidate for the procedure. How does it work?

Mint & Needle injects medical-grade biostimulators into the buttocks area to stimulate collagen growth, making skin tighter, more smooth, or even adding desired volume for more projection.

Is this like a BBL, where it utilizes your own fat?

This is not like a Brazilian Butt Lift®, which transfers fat from another part of the body and requires surgery. With Mint & Needle, this is a non-surgical, in-office procedure that uses biostimulator injections which are inserted into the treatment area for aesthetic results.

How many syringes will I need?

This depends on the goals of the patient. Generally speaking, one treatment can require between 5-10 syringes of Radiesse or 6-8 vials of Sculptra. Typically, we find that patients need 2-3 sessions to achieve desired aesthetic results. However, when treating cellulite, the dosages are less.

What is the cost?

Cost depends on the goals of the patient and the treatment needed. For example: the cost of treating a hip dip or increasing volume varies based on the number of total syringes. That said, a session for hip dip or volume treatments typically costs $4,000-6,500. Though, if a Mint & Needle patient is being treated for cellulite, the amount of product required is much less, therefore the cost is also much less.

How long does this treatment take?

Mint & Needle books Buttock Augmentation appointments for 45-60 minutes. Before starting the injections, the team will have some time to address any final concerns and questions. It typically takes around 30 minutes for the actual treatment session.

What are the side effects?

Bruising is common, however it typically fades after a few days. Some patients do report some tenderness and tightness around the injection site, though that typically subsides in less than a day after the appointment.

How long will my results last?

Just like other filler injection treatments, the treatment for non-surgical Buttock Augmentation will require ongoing maintenance to keep up aesthetic results. Individual results vary based on factors such as your metabolism rate. The full non-surgical butt lift requires a series of treatments, every 4-8 weeks for the first year. The effects of the treatment last anywhere from 2-4 years, but personal results may vary.

What does the treatment maintenance schedule look like?

As with all medical aesthetics procedures, maintenance is key. We typically see results lasting up to 2-4 years. Though some patients prefer to handle maintenance frequently to maintain best results, it is recommended to schedule maintenance treatment every 12-18 months.

Who is a good candidate for a non-surgical butt lift?

You may be a good candidate if you...

  • have mild-to-moderate hip dips or want mild-to-moderate improvement in volume
  • wish to avoid surgery or possible complications of surgery
  • want to avoid the extensive downtime associated with surgery, preferring an option with no real down time
  • have minimal donor fat for a surgical BBL
  • want more subtle results then a surgical BBL procedure
  • are within approx. 30-40 pounds of your ideal body weight (with reasonable expectations), or
  • want improvement with your cellulite
