5 beauty tips that are proven to make you look less tired!

So, minted beauties, you are working full time, or raising kids (or both), running errands, and managing the daily GRIND. We eventually see the exhaustion on our face and fall victim to the marketing ads about the MIRACLE eye cream. Friend, we have become victim to those promises too. But what we fail to recognize is why we look tired in the first place. Yes, lack of sleep, the stress of life, etc., but even deeper than that - the actual physiology of our body!

What does aging do to my skin?

As we age — and we all do — we start to lose critical ingredients in maintaining our youthful skin. Skin naturally loses its elastin, collagen, and ability to lock in moisture which all result in fine lines, wrinkles, and the dreaded sagging skin. This is the root of our tired appearance on top of all the EXHAUSTION, environmental triggers, hydration, and so on!

Okay, so I can't stop aging, but what can I do?

The great news, we can slow down that clock and ENHANCE our GORGEOUS natural appearance! How? Well, it’s a mixture of 5 beauty tips.

1. It all starts with great skincare

5 Beauty Tips To Make You Look Less Tired Mint & NeedleThis will help prevent and improve the signs of aging. When I’m talking about skincare, I’m referring to high potency medical grade products. We will have another blog post discussing this further (STAY TUNED!).

A little sneak peak to my blog post, just because you apply vitamin C on your face doesn't mean you are protected from environmental stress or getting the brightening effect. Not all vitamin C’s are created equal. Here is a little hint, potency and the biologically active form of vitamin C is essential for it to work.

Some essential products for looking less tired are hydrating sleep face masks, brightening vitamin C products, and exfoliate the dull skin cells away.

2. Green Tea bags under the eyes

This is a temporary fix, but it reduces the puffiness and dark circles under the eyes. The caffeine in the GREEN tea bags shrinks the vessels under the eye reducing puffiness and dark circles!

After steeping 2 tea bags, drink your tea (stay HYDRATED ladies), and let the tea bags cool after eliminating the excess liquid.

Place the cold tea bags under your eyes for 15 minutes.

3. The cold spoon trick

After placing a spoon in the fridge place under your puffy eyes. This will temporarily reduce puffiness and redness. The cold temperature causes the vessels under the eye to shrink resulting in minimized puffiness and redness.

 4. Botox

What botox (and Xeomin) does is relax muscles to prevent the skin from having repeated stress through bunching on every facial expression. When we inject Botox around your eyes, it opens them slightly to look more REFRESHED! Also, botox has been shown to increase elastin in our skin. So, let the Mint & Needle team of clinicians and medical estheticians be your #botoxbff to help you look your best. Also, start Xeomin/Botox before the lines are etched in.

5. Fillers

They used to say diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but that’s before we knew about fillers. As we age, our under eye loses some of the volume and fillers under the eye allow us to replace it. Its INSTANT gratification and addresses the root of the problem. Think of me as your #fillerbff
